Mackenzie Alexander Hall
What’s New Bugaboo?
Mackenzie is proud to have studied at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in NYC this summer. For five weeks, she worked with teaching artists - including Robbie Simpson, Hannah Corneau, Garrett Taylor, Ric Ryder, Colin Hanlon, Alice Salzman, Christine Shepard, Joanne Edelmann, and Holly Buczek - in the Summer Musical Theatre Intensive.
Mackenzie Alexander Hall (she/her) is an actress and creative based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where she was born and raised. She began performing in the elementary school talent show and home movie circuits as so many do, until at 10 years old, when she landed her first role as Charlie Bradley in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. First audition song? Silent Night. Classic. First monologue? The Gettysburg Address. No joke! Five hours later… *Ring ring ring* “Hello?” “You’ve been cast!” And so it began...
about
Mackenzie’s love for theatre grew and led her to Pennsylvania Youth Theatre where she trained with like-minded silly soul-ed young-in’s like herself. Eventually, she flew south to North Carolina where she studied theatre and music at Elon University. There, theory and criticism expanded what Mackenzie thought theatre could be, as did her time studying abroad in Florence, Italy under the tutelage of world-renowned soprano, Susanna Rigacci, at the Accademia Europea Di Firenze.
Since graduating, Mackenzie has continued to train as a performer through the Stella Adler Studio of Acting and Ashley Hiester School of Music, and as an intimacy choreographer through Theatrical Intimacy Education. She has also taught, choreographed, directed, consulted, and stage managed, but it is in performance, specifically song, that her authentic heart is at its most vulnerable and powerful. For Mackenzie, it is transformative to exist in that highly charged place where stories live and where she desires to be preferably for a long, long time.

Mackenzie was introduced to the craft of theatrical intimacy during a college production of Christine Evans’ Trojan Barbie by professors, Kim Shively and Dr. Susanne Shawyer – both faculty with Theatrical Intimacy Education (TIE). Such practices seemed obvious in how easy, necessary, and important they were. Finally someone had made it all a little less weird! Upon learning the specialization of the field was relatively new, Mackenzie’s interest was piqued. She needed to know more.
To date, Mackenzie’s curiosity has equipped her hours of training through TIE. She began working as an intimacy professional in the Lehigh Valley in 2022. Her favorite productions include Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, Romeo and Juliet, and POTUS, Or: Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying To Keep Him Alive.
